Mentoring is a relationship in which a more experienced individual shares his or her knowledge, expertise and perspective with a less experienced individual who is willing to benefit and learn from the exchange.

The BB&T Student Leadership Center supports mentoring programs designed to help business majors successfully navigate all of the stages of their college and post-graduate career:

First-year students receive assistance with the transition to college from upper classmen in the Peer Mentoring Program lead by the Walker Fellows.

Sophomores and Juniors

Faculty mentors provide guidance as students explore potential career paths and professional growth in the Women of Walker sponsored by Dr. Dawn Medlin and other group mentoring programs.

Juniors and Seniors

Business professionals provide upperclassmen with insights, industry access and coaching in order to successfully transition from college to career in the Executive Mentoring Program.
