2016 Boone Discovery Forum

Are you a student or early stage professional? Do you have a venture or idea that will make Boone a better place? Would you like to compete for a chance to win $10,000? If so, the Institute for Emerging Issues (IEI) at NC State, the BB&T Student Leadership Center and the Transportation Insight Center for Entrepreneurship at Appalachian State University are looking for you to present at the Boone Discovery Forum on October 25, 2016. Presentations will take place in the Parkway Ballroom, PSU starting at 5:30pm.

The Discovery Forum brings together community members in Boone who are interested in social entrepreneurship for a night of learning, networking, and inspiration. Ten to fifteen finalist teams will be selected to present five-minute pitches on their ideas or ventures. An audience vote at the end of the night will select up to three finalist teams who will be invited to attend the Leadership Symposium in Raleigh for a weekend of networking, training, and skills development from North Carolina’s leaders in innovation, and the chance to win $10,000!
